What international

desks want
Global

International editors get several hundred pitches a week and run almost none of them. What gets through is a story with a number in it, a named spokesperson who will go on the record, and a reason the story matters outside your own market.

A Pakistani company is not automatically interesting to a London desk. It becomes interesting when it illustrates something bigger: a market shift, a funding trend, a category nobody abroad has noticed yet.

We build that framing first, then approach desks one at a time with an angle written for their readers, not a press release forwarded across a time zone.

At a glance

Markets and outlet types

UK and European business press

Trade and national titles across finance and technology

US technology and startup titles

Where investors and acquirers actually read

Gulf regional press

UAE and Saudi outlets covering South Asian trade

Global trade publications

Sector-specific, high authority, low competition

International wire pickup

Syndication into titles you did not pitch

Problems this

solves
Problems

If two or more of these sound familiar, this is the service you need first.

01

You are invisible outside Pakistan

An international buyer, investor or partner searching your name finds nothing they recognise and no outlet they trust.
02

Your domestic coverage does not travel

Local press is strong but means nothing to a desk in London that has never heard of the publication.
03

Fundraising stalls at diligence

Overseas investors check the press before the second meeting. Silence reads as risk.
04

Competitors abroad own the narrative

When international media covers your category, someone else is the example and you are not in the story.
01

Credibility that crosses borders

One placement in a title an international buyer already reads does more than a hundred in outlets they have never heard of.

02

A story investors can verify

Diligence teams search first and ask later. Independent coverage answers the questions before they are asked.

03

Coverage that compounds internationally

International titles get syndicated, quoted and indexed globally. One placement often becomes several.

Our

Process
Process

Four stages. International desks apply a higher bar, so the first two take longer and matter more.

01

Audit

What international media already says about your category, who is being quoted, and what a foreign editor finds when they search you.

02

Position

The angle that makes a Pakistani story matter to a reader in London or New York, with the data to support it, signed off before we approach anyone.

03

Place

Direct outreach to named international desks, timed to their news cycle, with the angle rewritten for each market.

04

Report

Placements with links, reach and syndication pickup, plus what did not land and which markets to try next.

What you

get
Included

Every engagement includes all of the following. Scope and volume scale with the package, the list does not change.

International media audit

Where your category is covered abroad and who is being quoted, delivered in week one.

Cross-border message platform

The framing that makes your story relevant outside Pakistan, with the supporting data.

Press materials to international house style

Written for foreign desks, not localised afterwards.

Named international target list

Specific publications and named journalists, shared before pitching starts.

Market-by-market pitching

One angle per outlet, rewritten for that country’s readers.

Spokesperson and time zone coordination

Interview prep, and calls scheduled around their newsroom rather than yours.

Embargo and syndication management

So a story lands across markets in the right order.

Coverage report with reach

Live links, publication authority and any syndication pickup.

As Featured In assets

Ready for your site and your investor deck, correctly licensed.

A named contact

The person who wrote your pitch is the person who answers your email.

Why

Nova Social
Why
01

We pitch abroad the way locals do

Angles written to the standards of the market they are going to, not a Pakistani release with the country name changed.

02

We know when you are not ready

International desks will not run a story with no data and no named spokesperson. We will tell you before you spend the budget.

03

Domestic first, when it helps

Sometimes the fastest route abroad is strong coverage at home. We will say so even though it is a smaller engagement.

Questions

International desks receive several hundred pitches a week and run a fraction of them. They also have no prior relationship with your brand and no particular reason to care about your market.

What gets through is a story with numbers, a named spokesperson and a reason it matters to their readers. That takes more preparation, which is why the first two stages of our process are longer here.

Primarily the UK, the US and the Gulf, plus global trade press in your sector.

Which of those we prioritise depends on where your buyers, investors or partners actually are. That is decided in the audit rather than assumed.

Six to ten weeks is typical, longer than domestic.

Three to four weeks go on audit and positioning, because international desks reject weak framing immediately and a second approach to the same journalist is much harder than the first.

Usually, yes.

An international editor checking you out will search your name. Finding nothing at all is worse than finding a strong domestic footprint. If you have none, we will normally recommend starting with Pakistan Tier-1 PR.

Earned. We pitch, an editor decides.

Paid international placements exist and are heavily marketed. They are labelled, carry no editorial weight and are increasingly discounted by search engines. We do not sell them.

We change market.

The report shows which desks engaged and which did not, so the next cycle goes where the interest actually is rather than repeating the same list.

No, and neither can anyone else honestly.

Any agency guaranteeing a named international title is either buying it or misleading you. What we guarantee is the work: framing, a named target list, tailored pitching and persistent follow-through.
