Confirm the facts in brackets
Nova Social was founded in 2026 by Usman Chishti out of a simple frustration. Pakistani businesses with good stories were being sold coverage rather than helped to earn it.
The difference matters. A paid placement is labelled, carries no editorial weight and is discounted by search engines. An earned article gets cited, indexed and believed.
So we built the agency around the harder version. Work the desks directly. Agree the line before approaching anyone. Write in the language the publication prints in. And say so, early, when PR will not fix the problem.
That last habit costs us work. It is also the reason clients stay.
The second list matters more than the first. Most agencies will only give you one of them.
A PR agency that works newsroom desks directly, one pitch at a time
Writers first. Most PR fails on the writing, not the relationships
Native in English and Urdu, written rather than translated
Senior people on the actual work, not just in the pitch meeting
Honest in the first conversation, including when that loses us the job
A wire service reselling distribution and calling it strategy
A guaranteed-placement operation. Nobody honest can promise a named title
A team that disappears between the pitch and the invoice
Willing to take a retainer from someone who needs one press release
In the business of deleting articles or restoring suspended accounts
To make earned credibility reachable for Pakistani businesses and public figures, so that a good story is not beaten by a bigger budget. That means doing the harder work of placing stories on merit, and refusing the easier work of selling coverage.
A Pakistani media landscape where coverage is won rather than bought, and where a reader can reasonably assume that what they are reading was not paid for. We are one agency and cannot deliver that alone. We can refuse to make it worse.
Telling a client on day one that their story is not ready costs a fee. Telling them in month three costs the relationship.
We do not sell anything we would not want printed about ourselves. Paid placements dressed as coverage fail that test.
Two subjects owned properly beat ten covered loosely. That applies to our clients’ positioning and to our own service list.
An editor decides in one paragraph. Relationships open the door, the writing is what gets you through it.
Every monthly report includes what did not run and why. The failures are usually the more useful half.
A journalist’s trust takes years to build and one lazy pitch to lose. It is not ours to spend on a client who will not listen.
“I started Nova Social because I got tired of paying for coverage nobody read. We place your story in a newsroom that actually wants it, or we tell you it is not a story yet. We do not sell links and we do not sell silence.”
PR & Social media specialist
Usman Chishti is the founder and Managing Director of Nova Social. He began his career in search engine optimisation, working as an independent consultant with clients across Pakistan, the US and the UK, and later co-founded a digital marketing agency focused on SEO and personal branding.
That search background shapes how Nova Social works. Coverage is treated as something that has to hold up in a search result months later, not just appear once, which is why placements, content and owned pages are written by the same team from a single brief. He founded Nova Social in 2026 and works in both English and Urdu.
800+ publishing partners across domestic and international media, built over years rather than bought.
The person you meet is the person answering your email eighteen months later. No handover to a junior.
Monthly reporting on coverage, rankings and sentiment, including the months that underperformed.
The same five stages run through every service we offer. Nothing is pitched before the first two are signed off.
Where you appear now, and what a buyer finds when they search your name.
One defensible line on what you should be known for, agreed in writing.
Targeted outreach to named desks, one angle per outlet.
What ran, what did not, and why. Every month, including the misses.
Coverage compounding into search, enquiries and standing.

Indicative copy. Names pending client approval.
We spent two years paying for placements before Nova Social told us that was the problem. The first earned piece they landed did more for us than everything before it.
B2B software, Lahore
They turned down half of what we asked for and explained exactly why. That is the only reason I trusted them with the other half.
Consumer brand, Karachi
The Urdu release read like it was written in Urdu, because it was. Three national desks ran it inside a week.
